Biography:
Dr. S. Ganesan is an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the Department of Zoology and Biotechnology at A.V.V.M. Sri Pushpam College (Autonomous), Poondi, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India. He obtained his M.Sc. in Zoology from Madurai Kamaraj University, M.Phil. in Zoology from the University of Madras, and Ph.D. from Bharathiar University, India.
Dr. Ganesan has over 17 years of research experience and 13 years of teaching experience. He is a Life Member of the Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA), Kolkata, India, a Member of the Review Board of Cancer Biology and Treatment (USA), and a Life Member of the Association for the Promotion of DNA Fingerprinting and Other DNA Technologies (ADNAT), India.
His research focuses on cell and molecular biology, diabetes, cancer biology, nanobiotechnology, and therapeutic interventions. His laboratory investigates cellular and molecular signatures involved in insulin secretion, insulin action, and cancer progression using integrated physiological, pharmacological, biochemical, molecular biological, and proteomic approaches. He has contributed nearly 20 nucleotide and protein sequence submissions to the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), USA.
Dr. Ganesan has presented more than 80 research papers at national and international conferences and has published over 70 research articles in reputed peer-reviewed journals. He has successfully guided numerous postgraduate research scholars, including 5 M.Phil. and 7 Ph.D. candidates. His contributions to cancer research, molecular biology, and biotechnology have earned him recognition in both academic and research communities.
